Group Meeting Spaces

DETAILS

Most outdoor meeting spaces are included in the per night cost of renting overnight housing. This includes the canoeing pond with catch and releases fishing, the basketball court, the sports fields, gaga court and volleyball court. Evening Bonfires are available at no additional charge.

In addition to our recreation hall and indoor game tables, Mt. Gilead has High & Low Ropes Courses, Archery, Riflery, Frisbee Golf and more for teams to utilize during their stay. See More

Acken Hall

Our best meeting space for any sized group. With solid wood floors, tables & chairs, a large stone fireplace, overhead projector and sound system; Acken Hall is great for worship services, meetings or any other heated indoor activity.

Singer Hall

Our Dining Hall can seat over 80 people at a time. Besides being used for meals, teams can utilize this heated building as a group meeting space in addition to Acken Hall.

Shephard’s Shelter

Conveniently centered next to our sports field in the center of camp, Shepherd’s Shelter is a large game room with Foosball, Ping Pong, Pool and Air Hockey tables along with vending machines & seating for teams to relax and hangout throughout the day.

Martin’s Manor

Besides being used as overnight housing, Martin’s Manor has a very large living room with couches and chairs as well as a TV and DVD player.

Post Pavilion

From spring to fall, why be inside when you can be outside enjoying the beautiful Pocono Mountain weather? Post Pavilion can seat over 80 people at a time. With two large grills and close proximity to the fire pit, the pavilion is great for cookouts and s’mores in addition to group meetings or just hanging out.

The Chapel

Mt. Gilead is over 60 years old, and the Chapel in the pines is at the core of our tradition. Towering pine trees provide shade and a beautiful pine needle floor to our courageous hillside chapel setting. With seating for 60 people, the original stone podium and the hilltop breeze, the chapel is great for group meetings or church services.

Apache

Located next to the lower hill cabins and set against the woods, Apache is one of two hillside meeting pavilions that can seat up to 20 people at a time.

Commanche

Located next to the upper hill cabins and set against the woods, Commanche is one of two hillside meeting pavilions that can seat up to 20 people at a time.

Fire Circle

Located near Post Pavilion, the fire circle is the most common outdoor gathering area for retreats and weekend events. Groups can utilize the pavilion for an outdoor barbecue and end their night singing and making s’mores around the camp fire.
